The Kura Project and Lunapads Collaborative Project

KURA and Lunapads are pleased to announce a collaborative project to provide menstrual pads kits to 2000 girls in Northern Kenya!

Since 2002, Lunapads has been operating Pads4Girls, a social program which seeks to address the problem that hundreds of millions of girls and women in developing nations face: missing school or work for several days every month because they lack adequate means to manage their periods. Providing girls with sustainable menstrual supplies is a simple yet highly effective way to give them a chance for a better future. Learn About Pads4Girls here.

In 2013, KURA supplied over 500 girls and their mothers in Northern Kenya with cloth pad kits made by AFRIpads kits. Shortly thereafter, KURA approached Lunapads for their support to provide 1000 girls with pad kits and they generously said YES! Now, we need your help to fund the next 1000 kits and reach our goal of 2000 girls.

By donating to the Lunapads Global Opportunity Fund at Tides Canada you can make a direct contribution to support the KURA 2000 Project.  (Note: donations from Canada > $25 are eligible for a tax receipt.
